Does anybody know of the commandline 'crypt' utility? I use it on a SGI workstation (called from a perl script, and I have no shell access, so no 'man' there).
A 'man crypt' only shows the entry for the c function call... I might write a wrapper for it in c but it would be a waste of time if the code for the commandline utility is available (or the command itself).
Besides, the man page is really cryptic (no pun intended)
thanks in advance
