Customizing Mac Interfaces...

I was wondering if there are any applications that work with Intel-based macs that can successfully work with .gkUIT files. The only software I heard of was ShapeShifter or something, and when I tried it, it read that it needed a newer version. Thats when I found out that it wasn't compatible with intel-based macs.

Are there any other software applications out there that does the same thing as ShapeShifter? I really want to test out a couple of the new themes for macs I came across but I don't really have an idea of where to start.

Any help is appreciated guys, thanks.

ThemeChanger is open source, and, instead of working like ShapeShifer does (intercepting things and changing the interface as you go, which takes up resources), it actually replaces the necessary files on the system, and allows you to go back to the originals, if you want. However, I've been afraid to try it. If anyone else has good information on ThemeChanger (I've read both good and bad experiences on the Web), I'd love to hear it, too.
