Cut files with keyboard shortcut

Probably stupid question, but i am a beginner on the mac. How do u do the PC style (ctrl+X) on the mac, instead of draging the icons allover.

'apple' + x = cut, 'apple' + v = paste, 'apple' + c = copy.

Maybe a little confusing. He's referring to the key that has the Apple logo on it; next to the space bar on both sides. This is also known as the Command key.
