Suddenly I can't transfer edited video back to my camcorder from my PB that I have been using for over a year to do video work. No problem capturing the video from the camcorder to the computer. But data doesn't want to go in the other direction. iMovie crashes everytime I try to export video back to the camcorder. I tried booting from an external drive with its own install of iMovie and FCE. Same problem. Therefore, I do not believe it is a software problem, but more likely a hardware problem.
It is not a problem with the camcorder since everything works properly when I transfer video to the camcorder via my daughter's PB.
It seems I've isolated the problem to my PB. Can Firewire malfunction such that data only moves in one direction?
