Dark blue border on desktop screen

Hello.
For the last few days, when I boot or restart my iMac G4 the screen opens with a dark blue border about 1/4 in. wide all the way around.
It will go away if I click on it, but if I leave it, it will suck up open apps. or whatever is on the screen. I can't make it happen but it seems when I hover the cursor somewhere near the left top of an app. whatever is currently open just goes wooosh. It leaves just a small edge showing and I can click on it and it will reopen on the desktop.
It's sorta like the old 'window shades'. But I don't have any control over it.
Anyone got a clue what causes this and can I get rid of it? Thanks Dean M.

Seems like Expose is activating when your cursor is near the top-left of the screen - Expose is the nifty trick where (by default) F11 shows the action you describe (remove all windows to reveal the desktop), F10 shows all windows of the current app, F9 shows all windows, etc. Open your System Preferences and click on "Dashboard & Epose" and you should see in the "Active Screen Corners" that "Desktop" is selected for the top left. Set that to "-" and the behaviour you're seeing will stop.

Well, I'll be damned!
Pretty clever. I don't know how it got set that way, but now that I know it's not a system bug, I think I'll use it. Thanks macbri, another save!
