I have a PowerBook G4 and a Power Mac G4 both with clean installs of OS X 10.4 and both using Microsoft Starck Optical Mouse and the set up is pretty similar if not identical...
On my PowerBook, I was able to go to System Preferences, click on Dashboard & Exposé and set the middle mouse button to activate Dashboard and it works like a charm. On my Power Mac however, I was not able to do the same. For some reason, even after I selected the middle mouse button to activate Dashboard, when I click on the button it brings up the "app switch panel", the one you see when you press Command Tab. While that may be helpful but it's not what I want it to do and I don't even remember when I made the mouse button behave like that nor can I find where to disable it.
Any help is appreciated.
