Dashboard shortcut

I want to meke the apple key and D the keys to hit together to activate dashboard...anyone know how to do it? I have 10.4.2

Go to System Preferences>Keyboard and Mouse>Keyboard Shortcuts.

Click the + button, and type "Dashboard" for Menu Title, and the shortcut you want.

I stress that this may already be a shortcut for something else.

Dashboard is not a "Menu Title", though, right? And: Cmd-D is used for "duplicate" in many applications... I wouldn't use those... Are the function keys so hard to reach?

Thanks guys for the help...the apple key and d were used for duplicate like you had said before. I use the F11 key for it now. It's easier than the previous option. Thanks a ton guys!
