Data transfer from Mac to LG245 Phone

I'm trying to simply upload my own customized ringtones & wallpapers from my Mac to my phone. I recently purchased a Phone Cable Kit from my mobile phone service provider (Telus Mobility) which comes with a USB data cable and a software CD to install the appropriate drivers that will turn the phone into a mobile modem. I'm not needing the mobile modem. I simply wanted the data cable so I would be able to patch my LG245 phone into my Mac and then drag & drop the ringtones & wallpapers to my phone. Can someone offer some advice on this topic, please?
