Dates on OS X Server

Just recentlt I ave set up an OS X server and I have transfered the data from the original host to the OS X server, The problem has arissen since I hadn't set the date properly on the server dring the install all the date created fields are messed up(in the 70's lol) but it is very imperative that we be able to view by date. Anybody know of any ways to fix this?
 
eh that won't work, we have thousands of FMP files and we dont know all the creation dates, when we refer back to projects from 1996 or so we just need to be able to organize and find it by date. I need something that will somehow correct this to its original state...The funny thing is the date created field was correct on the previous machine, now after the copy the date created are all in the 1970's. Is there any hope for this at all?
