Based on a response of yours that I found at:

I downloaded Ulrich Krebs' dbxconv and used it as described.
Dbxconv seemed to work just fine. I was under the impression that the mbx files that are the output of dbxconv are supposed to be all readable text, but there are a lot of strange characters within, but also lots of readable text, so perhaps dbxconv didn't work as well as I thought.
At any rate, I couldn't import the resulting mbx (or renamed mbox) files into Mac's Mail (Mail version 2.0.1, on a desktop G5 running OS X Tiger) as described in the final steps 3 and 4 from the above link:
3. Choose Standard mbox files, click the next arrow.
4. Browse to the location of the mbox files, click Choose, the mailboxes should be selected.
The problem is - the only import-format choice for choosing the Standard mbox files was the choice "Other", and then the names of the mbox files were visible but greyed-out. Apparently, Mail can see the mbox files but I'm guessing their format is improper for importing into Mail.
Do you have any ideas how I can complete this amazing
journey? Do you think the problem is in dbxconv, in Mac's Mail, or elsewhere.
