I use several digital camera, including my daughter's SONY DSC41. If all photos are perfertly managed by iPhoto, nothing on iLife is managing the short movies I can shoot with this camera. It is not even automatically imported.
Please mr Product Manager, see that we use this camera function, and help us to manage it with our Mac. I seems natural to use iMove, by maybe another application should do it, it's up to you. We just like to have all our iData managed by iLife !
