default php 5 install on MAC OS X 10.5

I know how to activate it, but I cannot find it in the file structure, and therefore I don';t know how to manage upgrades etc.

where is the default php 5 install on os x???

(I don't just mean the php.ini file, I know where that is).

Upgrades to php are issued and distributed by Apple in the form of various updates available through Software Update.

You can install an independent installation of php5, which you can then upgrade yourself.
