Default settings for Mail

I seem to remember that in the PB that the Mail App's default configuration was set to NOT delete mail from the server. Has anybody checked to see if this has changed? I haven't installed my copy of OSX so I can't check it. I remember how pissed off I was when I did find out. I had over 1500 emails on the server....

If you use imap it leaves messages on the server. If you use pop it deletes them. At least that's my understanding. You can switch between pop and imap in System Preferences.

Nope VGZ, whatever you use (IMAP4 or POP3), messages get not deleted from the server by default. However you can adjust this in the prefs of the Mail.app.
