My colleague just got a Mac Pro G5 and transfered all her files from her old G4, which was a hand-me-down machine.
System Preferences names her as the Admin., but says her 'short nickname' is "fattychick" (for example).
I looked around in Keychain Access, but the previous user does not show up. From System Preferences it seems that we have to change the master password first, and it gives us the old password hint but we can't change it. Can't I reboot in target mode and delete all unwanted user and reset the admin password?
Hoe can I change this?

I think you can boot from the OS X disc and reinstalling will eliminate all accounts (not sure what you might stand to lose by doing that, but I'm even if you don't reinstal OS X, I think booting from the disc can give you a way to override the master password).

Worth a go...
