Deleted Mail Folders

Hi there,

I have a Mac osX .4

Mail application is Mail .

I removed an Email Account, to recreate another . I didn't know that by deleting account I will loose all the folders I had. Is there a way I can get back the Sent Folder I had b4 I removed the account? The Trash is empty.

The New account, does it overwritte all the existing folders ?

Take a look in your Home > Library > Mail folder and you'll likely see the mail for the account you deleted. You might not get all of your mailboxes back -- namely Inbox, Trash, Sent & Drafts, but everything else should be there.

If you see the account, switch to Mail and choose File > Import Mailboxes then select "Mail for Mac OS X" and you should be able to locate your "missing" mailboxes and import them into your newly created account.
