It's happened Four now since upgrading to 10.4. Out of
nowhere--like the middle of the night--with the lid closed, the fan
will suddenly start running at max velocity and the powerbook then
becomes unresponsive. Stranger still, the clock still announces the
time (as it's set to do on the hour), while the lid is closed!
Upon a hard reboot, I notice that all changes made to the finder
(dock) preferences will have reverted to their previous state. I
reset the PRAM and the PMU last time this happened.
Below are the logs just prior to the possession. Lots of Hangups.
Doesn't look good. Do I have resson to be nervous?
