Desktop Empty

I just upgraded back to QuickTime 7.04 after downgrading to make Flip4Mac work. I upgraded to the latest version of Flip4Mac then let Software Update do the upgrade to QuickTime 7.04.

Now my Desktop is a blank slate. The Desktop folder exists and it's complete (all the right stuff is in there) but it's not showing on the Desktop itself. I logged in and out, switched to another user account and back, still nothing. I tried dragging out of the Desktop Folder onto the Desktop and it won't let me.

Any ideas?
 
A little update. It's only my primary user account which is affected. I checked the tips I found here. My user account folder was not changed. It's only the fact that nothing appears on the Desktop and I can't drag items to it.
