I was messing around with 10.1, like replacing the Finder with SNAX, enabling the root user, and making invisible diectories visible, and some weird stuff started happening. I put everything back to the default but that didnt seem to help. First when I first log in, I can see all my desktop files on my desktop but when I click on the hard drive icon all the files dissapear. However, they are still there if you go to /Users/kevin/Desktop. Also clicking on the 'Home' button doesn't do anything. Another annoying problem is that when I open up a folder there will be like 2 or 3 of the same folders there. For example, if I click on the my hard drive icon, there will be three Applications folder but other times there might only be one Applications folder and three Library folders. Does anyone have any idea whats going on and how I can fix it or should I just reinstall OS X?
