Desktop full of Volumes.

You know, those little white boxes that look like external CD drives. I sometimes get 5 of these at a time when I several apps running. And I want away with them. Anyway I can?

Copy the file application (like BitTorrent) from the Disk Image onto your harddrive (usually Application folders). That way the file resides on your harddrive, and not with in the Disk Image.
If you leave the file in the Disk Image, the image will mount everytime you run the file.
 
and edit your attachment. p2p tools are forbidden here..
Also: the Disk Image will always mount unless you unmount it. Drag the mounted volume to the trash and it will get unmounted
 
why should references to bit torrent be remvoed? it's used by legitimate companies to distribute demos etc.
