Desktop Icon

I have a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard. I just installed Photoshop Elements 6.
The Icon is on the desktop. I would like to have it on the Dock. I tried to drag
and drop it, but had no success. If I ever did know how to do this, I have
forgotten it in my old age. Please refresh my memory on this. Thanks

Try first dragging it into your Applications folder, once there you should be able to drag and create a shortcut in your Dock.

An icon cannot be put into the dock. Delete it-IF it is just an alias. Go to HD-->Applications. Find the Elements application (not the folder if there is one) Drag the Elements application to the dock. That will put an icon on the dock and leave the application where it is.
