Desktop Wallpaper Problem. Help!

I have changed my wallpaper to a new image but within a couple of minutes it reverts back to the previous image? I have tried to change it several times, but always after a few minutes the old image is back again! Ahhhhhh! No, not at all frustrating! Any suggestions please? Many thanks. OSX 10.5.8.

Open your System Preferences, then Desktop & Screensaver.
Click the Desktop tab, then uncheck the box "Change Picture every (some time interval)"

Wait a few minutes to make sure that's what you want.
If it's not a good fix - what screensaver are you using?

Thanks.... ironically I worked that out just now, but thanks for helping anyway. Weird that it would revert to the previous set of images though..... I'd have thought that even if you don't uncheck the 'change every ... minutes' button that you'd be able to change the folder you wish to see as your wallpaper without it flicking back to the previous choice!? Ah well, all sorted now. Thanks again.
