Hi,

I am running OS X 10.2 on my G4 dual 1ghz, Yesterday my internet connection froze so i decided to restart my computer and now it gets past the apple logo, loads all the system setups and prefs and when it gets time to go to my desktop it just hangs on a blue screen....no spinning ball or rainbow, just this blue screen. I see my pointer and can move it around with my mouse...if that helps. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thank You,
Kevin

I would recommend starting in Safe Mode
(after the startup chime, press shift and
keep it down until the login screen appe-
ars) and see if this still happens.

If yes, then:

Also start in Single User Mode and do a
file system check. Instructions for this
can be found on the Apple Website. So-
called fsck (file system check) is a Unix
command, so make sure you get the
command right!

If no:

Create another user account; then slo-
wly move over from your existing one
to the new one. (Data, Library, etc.)
