Diablo 2 - Installation on MacBook

Hallo everybody,
maybe there´s somebody out there who is familliar with my problem.
I just wanted to install Diablo 2 on my MacBook via the Diabloinstaller provided by Blizzard themselves (maybe not the best to do...)
Anyway, the installer seems to work properly and I get as far as "Insert installdisc". Now comes the tricky part: after inserting the disc (original and genuine Blizzard) it takes the computer to recognize the disc and emediatly afterwards he kicks the disc out (I can see the disc for a sec on my desktop).
So the installation failes.
The Software is compatible and there is no problem with the disc or the drive. Any ideas what I did wrong or forgot to do or...

maybe it simply isn't compatible with the Intel Macs. In any case, try making a disc image of the CD/DVD and then mount it with DiskUtility and install from the desktop.
 
Thanks a lot. I will try again but the next problem is that the installer requires the disc and even if I create an image, I cannot tell this installer where to install from.
