Did Filevault do this ??

Hi,

I always use dreamweaver and fireworks together as well as flash but all the sudden after i turned file vault on, when you preview things eg a webpage or a graphic in both dreamweaver and fireworks - it works in IE but it doesnt in safari and it says the file could not be found but a long message. But when i use dreamweaver well say edit a graphic it should then open it up in fireworks but now it doesnt it says fireworks cannot be found or doesnt have enough memory to run it, however i have fireworks open. Everything was working great up until now when i turned filevault on is there any suggestions ??

I'll second Fryke's suggestion of disabling FileVault. Unless you're working on hyper-sensitive information like credit card numbers or you have a specific need to encrypt your entire home directory, I would suggest not using FileVault at all. That's like electrifying your fence and stringing barbed wire up everywhere to keep your 6 week old puppy from getting out.

A difficult-to-guess account password would provide you similar security.
 
Yeah i havent done it yet because ive been busy but ill do it in a tic - really filevault sometimes isnt necessary i dont think alot of peopole would have it turned on ...
