digital camera memory question

my manual on my new camera says an 8 meg memory card will hold about 16 hq (high quality) pics.

but, I got a 64 meg card.... any idea how many pics it will hold?

I have 84 on it now, and still going... room for more. but how many?

anyone got a good idea? Just so I know...

Well, 8 * 16 is 128 so you could estimate 128 pictures. If you look at the sizes of the pictures you will see they run a little less than 500kb which is how they derive the estimate.
