Disable CDROM in sleep mode on iBook

When I take my iBook out of sleep mode, I can hear the combo drive make some "cocking" noise, like it's loading up. There is no disk in the drive, so I assume this is normal, but I wonder if I can disable this.

This is very normal and there is nothing you can do about it. Once the CD-Rom is powered up, it does such kind of noises.
