Disable iChat initial IM popup

I know many of you will simply say, don;t use it at work. I hate when people send me messages, sometimes they say the weirdest things and I have a meeting at my desk. Not exactly something you want people to see. You can have iChat hidden and that damn invisible window still pops up. There has to be a way to get around this.
 
yea i can do that, but if you have it hidden, you aren't really thinking about it until, "Pop..." Damn, lol. I like the feature, but if it's hidden, the entire app should be hidden.
 
right, I tried looking around and there does not seem to be sucha feature in iChat. I'd suggest sending an 'ichat feedback' email to apple. I guess the pop-up idea was designed so that you don't miss messages if you had it hidden. In this case, a feature is a bug. Hmmm...
