Disable Keyboard on MBP?

Hello. I want to leave my MBP on to play videos for my cat to watch while I’m gone but I also don’t want him to walk all over the keyboard to mess things up. Is there a way to disable the keyboard and let youtube play in the background?

Perhaps a board placed over the keyboard?

Turn the keyboard off if it is wireless. Unplug if it is a usb connection.
