Is Disk Copy the mac way to make a iso of a CD? For instance if i want to copy one of my CDs exactly, using a CD image file, Could i make that image file in OS X with Disk Copy?
 
Yes and no. Difficult to answer with easy answer. In general if you want to make exact copy use dvd/cdr image format in DiskCopy.
 
Roxio's Toast will make discs from ISOs. It's worth getting if you do a lot with your cd and / or dvd drive(s).

I just tried to make a image of a cd i have with Disk Copy. But i got Input/Output Error. I thought it might be the disk, so i tryed a different one, i also tryed a differnet image format. Any ideas on whats goin wrong?
 
I just made a perfect copy of a Windows PC .iso. Use "Create image from device" and save as DVD/CD master in the save as dialog. Then change the filename to remove ,dmg.cdr and replace it with .iso.
