I am just curious whether or not anyone has heard of software issues developing from the use of firewire mode. The only reason that I ask is because I used to run a 12"867mghz powerbook with 768mb of ram which I would regularily connect via firewire with my dual 1.25 G4 desktop. After some time the laptop began to develop glitches which I could find no cure for such as the help viewer becoming inactive, itunes crashing everytime I attempted to import a CD and eventually the laptop would shut itself down whenever I tried to transfer a large file via disk mode. I now own a 17" 1.5ghz powerbook with 2 gigs of ram and my help viewer has become inactive on this machine as well. I have absolutely no idea whether this is purely coincidental or an actual issue so any information you might have would be much appreciated.
