Display fades

...I have a 2x3Ghz quad core intel Xeon Mac Pro running 10.5.8

After waking it from sleep, the display screen is always faded and I have to reboot/restart the machine to bring the full color back.

...does anyone understand why this happens, or how I can fix this without always having to restart?
 
...I'm really not concerned with 'the proper etiquette of posting' especially since I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue...if you could keep your reply focused on the subject, I'd appreciate it.

It would be one thing if you were new here. However, you have been a member of this forum for 4.5 years. Not knowing which area to post in is not an excuse. As a veteran, you know that threads started in the wrong area can be moved to the correct area if the admins so decide.
