display problems on install

Hi, just purchased a second hand emac, it previosly had 2 partitions which have been changed back to one, i am trying to install 10.3 but the display keeps comming up half size and cropping slightly.

Ideas please because i am a few steps away from getting out the BIG hammer!

Emacs do have display hardware problems. You need to decide whether it's worth paying for a repair.
