I am having a strange problem with DNS lookups. My router is a Trendnet TEW-611, it has a built in DNS Relay. So that means all I should have to do is set the IP of my router as my DNS server. Yet when I do this DNS lookups are very slow, where if I put the DNS address's of my ISP directly in the Network Preference Panel, DNS lookups are much faster. This makes no sense to me as the DNS Relay should be less delayed than going out onto the internet to do a name lookup.
Does anyone else see problems using their router as a DNS server?
Thanks
