I have had my Mac Mini since early July 2007, so my computer is over two years old. I have never had a problem with it until now. Last night, I did one of the updates that my Software Update thing told me to. It was updating iTunes, Security, and Quicktime. The last time I updated my computer was around July of 2009. After the updates were complete, it said that the iTunes update and the Quicktime update were successful, but the security update did not work. As usual, it asked me to restart my computer after the update was complete, so I restarted it by clicking the apple in the top left and restarting. When the computer came back on, I had no dock at the bottom of the screen and my dashboard would not load with the widgets I have had there for a while. Also, I tried to adjust the volume and the volume adjusts properly, but the normal little megaphone image with lines representing sound does not show up. I tried to restart my computer two more times to see if these things would go back to normal, but I am still without a dock and the other things. Also, iTunes is working very weirdly; I can open iTunes when I search it in my Spotlight feature at the top right of the screen, but not when I access it through the applications folder in my Hard drive. Please help me!
