Hi - my Dock suddenly reverted to default settings and persists in doing so each time I reboot. The previous session on my MacBook I installed a widget from a Macworld cover disk and downloaded a free 30 day trial of QuarkXpress 7 from Quarks website (the installer failed to run successfully so was a waste of time - then next session this dock issue arose. Today all the application aliases in the tool bar disappeared.
Can you suggest what might be going on?*
***This is an update to this question: I have since updated my system via Software Update which had an update to security among the new updates available and then ran ClamXav antivirus after updating it's virus definitions and was able to put back AND KEEP my lost settings after reboot. I hope this has cured the issue fully... but I would be interested in your views on these issues.
p.s. I am re-establishing my PayPal account following a security issue - when this is done I will send a donation - can you remind me how to go about this or if their is an alternative method?
