Does anyone use the Mac App Store?

I have attempted to use the app store for mac however I found that there were no applications that were main stream such as:

• Adobe Illustrator
• Microsoft Office
• The Sims
• Steam
• ...

The end result is that I have yet to purchase any apps on the app store. Has anyone else had success with it?

Use it when I have to, but far prefer downloads to my Mac and I control the install. Also, I can save for backup or downgrade if need be.

I've never really used it, except for the times when I'm extremely bored and need some free game to play. I must admit, I still prefer to always have a hard copy of a program I pay for. Basically, I could care less about the App Store.

I searched for some apps in it, and didn't find. So I think the only thing I've installed from there was Lion and Aperture.

I used it to get apps for my iPod.
