Downgrade new MBP to Snow Leopard possible?

Good morning,

I bought a new MBP, and it came with Lion pre-installed. There are a fair number of things about Lion that annoy me, and I would like to install 10.6 instead. Before I attempt to do so however, I was wondering if it was possible with whichever latest firmware came on my MBP (with the online Lion recovery mode).

The new MBP has different function keys for Lion specific features.

Thanks.

and yes, I already used search to find any relevant threads :)

For what it's worth, a google search turned this up...
"..the very latest MacBook Pro's are capable of booting OS version 10.6.6. Thus in order to install Snow Leopard (OS 10.6) you need to find/purchase a Snow Leopard install disk that is version 10.6.6 or newer (the latest version of Snow Leopard is 10.6.8)."

You can also request a DVD from Apple with 10.6.x on it to do this, I've done this twice for some clients.
