Download Folder, deleted?

Hello, I recently was running utorrent, which might have something to do with this...but...

I have a 700mb file in my download folder named "%E0%80%83%E0%80%83"

I put it in DEC/CHAR here: http://home2.paulschou.net/tools/xlate/

and it doesn't help me with any info, but I have a feeling that this weird file has something to do with the files disappearing.

I'd be willing to upload the file to my webserver for a file autopsy if you need it.
 
What does the subject line of your thread mean? "Download Folder, deleted?" Is your download folder deleted or something? You make no mention of it in your message.

Why does this file concern you? It seems to be something you've downloaded. What do you mean by "I have a feeling that this weird file has something to do with the files disappearing"? What files are disappearing?

I'm sorry, but I'm not really following your explanation of what, precisely, you're experiencing on your computer and what the exact problem is.
 
Um, that %E0%80%83%E0%80%83 is located in your /Users/taelmx/Downloads folder, so the folder is clearly not gone.

So, you basically downloaded some random file from some torrent, and now some random things are happening in your system? Sure, downloading it by anyone else seems like a great idea, as - apart of M$ Office macros - the only way of getting bad karma on Macs is to download random stuff, or run random installers.

What is that file, why did you download it, and how about deleting it?

What do you see in Console that points at this file to do anything?
