Downloading Problems...

Hi,

I have been having some really frustrating problems downloading limewire. I am using a mac OS X 10.4 and have visited many help sites and forums to try and fix my problem but i have had no luck. I have a limewire account on a windows computer but would like to have it on my mac. I went to the limewire website and clicked download for the Mac OS X 10.4. The installation box pops and i go through all the steps and it says installation complete and then the window closes and nothing happens. I double click on the icon on my desktop but the installation box pops up again and i have to repeat the installation steps again and still nothing happens. I have tried messing with my firewall but nothing seems to work. Please help!!

Make sure you have the latest version (4.16.6), and that the application is not in your apps folder (I'm not sure what this "icon on the desktop" is).
 
Once you complete the installation, look in your "Applications" folder on your hard drive. You'll find the Limewire application in there, and you would double-click it to launch Limewire.

You can safely delete the Limewire icon on your desktop that you double-clicked to install Limewire, after you install it.
