I found old threads about this here but wondered if more has been found out.
G5 2.5gb, OS 10.4.11. Have been using Dreamweaver MX 2004 for many years on different computers. On this G5 it's been running successfully since I bought it four years ago and through all the Tiger updates.
And now, I tried to launch it and it stalls out. After a few seconds of beach ball turning I have to force quit (....not responding).
There has been no system update in many weeks, no new Quicktime version, no suspicious crashes. The only install I did recently was ToonBoom Studio 4.5.
Tried the usual: repair permissions, repair disk, delete all Dreamweaver components and re-install - multiple times. Tried out all things I could find online (reinstall Quicktime from standalone updater....)
Something must have changed in my OS X system. Dreamweaver works fine when I start up from a OS 10.4.6 emergency boot partition. It doesn't work if I log in through my other two user accounts.
