Drive Mounting

Jayem

The All Seeing
Well, a little while back I posted on this forum about snb sharing with a wintel box, and my G4. I got some good answers but none of them really worked because they are both hooked up to a x-router that then connects to a cable modem.
Well thats not the point. I set my mac to connect to the wintel box, and it mounted a i-drive called "CIFS". I have no idea what the hell it is, or does. Even worse, it just sits on my desktop taking real-estate up. I dont have a friggin clue on how to unmount it cause it keeps telling me that its in use. When its not doing a damn thing. I tried to fiddle around in the terminal, but for the love of GOD i hate command line. :-D
anyone know what the commands would be to get to the drive, and unmount it?

-thanks in advanced-

check this site:

http://www.macosxhints.com

and click on the UNIX link and search through all the posts there. You might find something there to help. If you mounted the drive in the command line, you will likely need to unmount it from there too. MacOSXHints has tons of unix info, this is where I go for really useful help for newbies.
