Hey I got MAC leopard working on my
Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop. The only things that don't work are the wi-fi and the sound card. The Wi-Fi card is an Intel Mini PCI-E Card 802.11b/g 4965AGN and the sound card is unknown but if I plug in USB speakers or a headset it works fine.

Do you know of any drivers/patches for the Wi-Fi card?

Thanks so much

No, and as it is against the licence agreement to install Leopard on any non-Apple hardware you will be unlikely to find any assistance here.

If you want to try OSX without buying a Mac you could always buy a copy of Leopard server which can be run in a virtual environment.

Hi there,

I am not sure we are allowed to help you, as it is illegal to run OS X on anything but a Mac computer and this forum is only for discussion of legitimate, legal uses of mac/OSX. You might be better off looking somewhere like the osx86 project at http://www.osx86project.org/ .

Sorry I can't be more helpful!

Yep, gotta get help elsewhere.

It's not that some of us don't want to help you -- it's that we cannot help you, due to the licensing terms of OS X itself and the rules of this forum.

As stated earlier, there are many, many, many other forums and websites that can assist you in what you want to do, easily found with simple Google searches -- unfortunately for you, this is not one of them.

Hello,
Please tell me how did you install MAC OS X on Dell. I have a MacBook Aluminium with OSX 10.5 with CD's. I would like to run iton my Dell as well as Desktop?
Thanks in advance. Please mail on my e-mail id ntityrahul@gmail.com.

Read the whole thread. You will not get help with that here.

There are plenty of other places on the Internet that will help you with that, easily found with simple google searches. This is not one if those places.

Yep. Time to close.
Do not ask for patches for your Hackintosh here.
Mac OS X can legally be installed only on Apple hardware, and having the decal sticked on your PeeCee to cover its logo doesn't make it really Apple hardware. Even if you virtualize Mac OS X (Server, only that can legally be virtualized) even that can only be run on Apple hardware.
So keep your karma good, when you decide it's time to get Mac OS X, sell your PC and get a Mac.
