Drop shadows and Quicktime

Here's a silly little oddity you can try to stave off a few minutes of boredom:
1. Open up any ol' Finder window.
2. Open a movie in Quicktime Player, and start it playing.
3. Drag the Finder window over top of the movie window.
Notice how the movie becomes strangely warped where the window's drop shadow should fall? It's kind of subtle, so look carefully. I'm sure there are other variations on this effect, but this is all I've bothered finding for now.
