Last week I got a DSL connection. All is working fine except for my OUTGOING mail server setup in my MAIL application. I have it set the way SBC says in my systems preferences-Internet-email setup. But when I put this SMTP string in the OUTGOING mail server setup in my MAIL application I get a message that it failed to deliver -- autentication required. Luckily I have found an SMTP setting that works.
Is there something wrong with the MAIL application using DSL? Is there any email application that will work? My SBC yahoo account email works fine.
