Dumb desktop image issue

I apologize for the petty and inconsequential nature of this "problem," but alas it is the only thing wrong (knock on wood) with my 5 year old and still humming G4 DP 1 GHZ. Some time ago I had a desktop image of some national park. I have changed that image, but now when I log in or switch users the old image appears for just a second or less then the new or set desktop image appears. Again, it is petty, but darn it, it bugs me. Is there some preference file or something I can delete to clear this up?

There is. Go to Home Folder>Library>Preferences and delete the file "com.apple.desktop.plist". Then restart your computer.

Thanks icemanjc. This was a real "Duh" on my part, but in years and years of changing desktop images it never happened.
