Duplexer on epson rx680 not working

Have apple g4-60gig hd-2gig ram-mac os 10.5.5-brand new epson rx680 w/duplexer for printing on both sides of paper. I set it up correctly-hardware and software. When i print-the paper comes out printed about 98% of the way and stops-message pops up saying it has a paper jam. There is no paper jam anywhere! I have ckd. 8-10 different times in trying to use duplexer. Anyone else run into this problem? I am trying to talk to epson about it but seems they are slow.
Thanks--dickster

Could it simply be a paper-size mixup? Letter instead of A4 or vice versa?

hi fryke-instructions say to use a4 size-maybe i'll try letter size tonight.
thanks

A4 does not equal letter size ("A" denotation = height-to-width ratio of 1:sqrt[2]). 11 / 8.5 = 1.294, which is not the square root of 2.

Letter-sized paper is shorter than A4 paper.

If the printer calls for A4 paper, then letter will not work (unless the printer is mistaken). It's likely that since A4 paper is called for, that using letter-sized paper is the cause of the "jam." Perhaps the printer is expecting that extra bit of height that A4 has, not finding it when you use letter, then erroring out with a "paper jam" message.

hey guys- It turns out that the duplexer unit attached to the epson rx680 was bad from mfg. point-epson is shipping me a whole new printer overnight. Thanks for help!!
