Dusting inside iMac G5, noisy fans....

has anyone cleaned inside an iMac G5? I think I need to dust my fan as it is getting nosier plus on the back fan grill I found copious amount of sticky dust.
Is it possible to open the iMac and do some thorough cleaning without voiding warranty....?
any tips?

A can of compressed air is you best bet.

Here's what I do: Place a towel on a table, place the iMac screen down on the towel, remove the 3 screws on the bottom panel, squirt around everywhere with one of those cans of compressed air. As for the fans, I usually use a cotton bud dipped in isopropynol.

If you're super-careful, you might get a small bottle of graphite -- it's a lubricant. You can drip a couple drops right into the Fan motor to help lubricate it. But don't do it if you think you're going to get the stuff on other parts.
