DVD.app gone?

I'm not sure when it happened, but my DVD app has dissapeared. Either 10.2.3, or 10.2.4 might have zapped it away. I have a powerbook g3 Bronze keyboard 400mhz (no firewire). Anyone know how on earth I can get my dvd player back? I go to apple's website, do a search and only get either the os9 dvd player, or an updater...

Look for the program called Pacifist on versiontracker (or wherever). I believe it allows you to retrieve individual applications off your system disks.

Whoa... Ok I tried pacifist... worked great. However, the system no longer supports DVD on osx for my powerbook. Only the powerbook with firewire is allowed to run the DVD player. Does anyone know of a work around? Maybe a different player?

Webgodjj,
i had the exact same problem as you did. You can't run DVD player in Mac OS X unless you have a built in firewire port. Unfortunately, there is no workaround. I haven't heard of any third-party DVD applications, so you're out of luck.
