Dvd Burner Help

I was trying to burn dvds on my Mac and it won't let me because I don't have enough space (4.7) on my hard drive for temporary items to be copied to a dvd.

Is there any way that I can have temporary items read off of a different hard drive.

If you have a different hard drive, try moving your less-frequently used documents there. AFAIK, the Superdrive will only the boot drive as the scratch disk.

It's also not a good idea to have less than 5gb available on your boot drive in general. It tends to cause slow-downs and general instability.
