How can I tell if the dvd i created is in pal?
I took a dvd that was created by a production company and imported it into final cut pro.
the idea was to make a new dvd of the same info, but to make a pal dvd so it could be played in europe.
The original was shot and edited in letter box format.
I took it and put it in final cut pro,
I then rendered it and exported via compresser to dv pal anamorphc.
when that was done, I took it and put it into idvd. I changed the idvd preferences to pal.

once the dvd was made. i had 150 copies made.
My question is, are the dvd's in pal?
I have put them in 3 different dvd players.... they are fairly new players. I don't know if they automatically play pal and ntsc..
I have also put the dvd'd in the mac and selected "get info" on the dvd to see if it says ntsc or pal.
there is no indicartion of either...
how do i know if it is ntsc or pal.
Did i just loose alot of money?

most modern dvd players/computers will play all formats however if you are using a television to watch the DVD, it is the television that may well be restricted to a particular region - the best way to find out is if you are in a PAL region to run the dvd to the TV - of course not all of Europe uses PAL.
